About 4 years ago I took on my allotment plot with little gardening experience. Fuelled with nothing more than a dream of my perfect garden and loaded with determination to achieve that, I got to work. After many failures and an overwhelming amount of information coming at me from every angle, telling me exactly how I should be doing it, I felt defeated.

It was at that moment when I decided to no longer follow every single rule and simply “whack stuff in”. If it grew, it grew. If it died, so be it. I would simple whack something else in instead.

The Whack it in gardening method was created. Suddenly people were messaging me to tell me how inspiring they found my way of gardening. I think a lot of us ended up feeling a little paralysed with the fear of getting stuff wrong in our gardens and as a result, we don’t do anything! We think, ‘oh the seed packet says it’s too late to sow now so… I won’t.’ But what if you did? And what if it grew and you ended up with a crop? I’ve done it loads of times and stuff has grown!

So whack it in. Throw down those seeds, whack in that extra bag of compost, plant out those late courgette plants. Until you actually whack it in, you’ll never know if it would grow.

I’m thrilled to announce my first product launch, the Whack it in t-shirt! I even have a bag thrown in too!

The t-shirts come in lots of colours and are made for men, women and children. I hope you love them! If you do purchase one and you have social media, don’t forget to take a picture and tag me in it so we can spread the message of the Whack it in gardening method!
